Dr. Jacob Funk

” The natural Healing force within each one of us is the greatest force of getting well.”- Hippocrates

Dr. Funk was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and lived there until after graduating high school. Dr. Funk started his college career with hopes of becoming a nurse and then later a nurse anesthetist. It was during his freshman year of college in which Dr. Funk gained a passion for exercise science and kinesiology. It was at this point in his life that he decided to take a different career path and changed his undergraduate major to Sports and Exercise Physiology. During his remaining undergraduate studies and the start of his doctoral program, Dr. Funk took this new passion and began working as a personal trainer, which he did for 5-6 years. Dr. Funk would earn his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Central Florida Orlando in May 2019.

He began his chiropractic studies in January of 2020 at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. During his studies, Dr. Funk received additional training in different techniques which consist of Pettibon, Activator, Thompson, and Gondstead. He would receive his Doctorate degree of Chiropractic in March of 2023. Upon completion, Dr. Funk, his wife, and three children moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to begin his career. At the practice in Colorado, Dr. Funk specialized in worker’s compensation, personal injury, medical massage, and many other rehabilitative treatments modalities.

Dr. Funk has been employed with EGHC since June of 2024. Dr. Funk hopes to add his background in personal training, rehabilitative treatments, and chiropractic care to provide his patients with complete functional restoration.

” The treatments themselves do not ‘cure’ the condition, they simply restore the body’s self-healing ability.”- Leon Chaitow N.D., D.O
